Batasari is a travel-companion app, built in Hyderabad, for people across India who would rather go with others than alone – and want an honest picture of what a trip costs.
The problem
Going alone costs more – a room, a cab, fuel, all for one. Finding people means scattered WhatsApp groups, and plans die in the chat. Costs are a guess until the bill arrives, and meeting strangers online comes with real scam risks.
What Batasari does
It puts the whole trip in one place: see who's going where you want to go, ask to join or post your own, plan in a squad, compare what every way of going costs, and settle up by UPI when you're back.
Our vision
Nobody should skip the trip they keep talking about – a Tirupati darshan, a monsoon weekend in Araku, a trek in the hills – because they had no one to go with. We want travelling together, anywhere in India, to feel as easy – and as safe – as messaging a friend.
Principles we don't bend
- Honest numbers. Live fares are marked live. Everything else is marked as an estimate. We never show a made-up fare or rating.
- Safety is free. Emergency tools, scam warnings and reporting are for everyone, never behind Premium.
- Your money moves directly. When friends settle up, UPI payments go person to person – Batasari never holds them.
- Privacy by default. Phone numbers are shared only after both people agree.
- Only real features. If something isn't in the app yet, we don't advertise it.
